For many years, we have been conducting the Vespers service every Saturday evening entirely in English. There is tremendous theological wealth in the prayers and hymns of the Church’s services. These resources can only be accessed if we find a way around whatever language obstacle may exist. The purpose of this initiative is not to displace the Greek language, but to give parishioners an additional opportunity to meaningfully connect to the liturgical tradition of the Church.
